Our definition of disability is as follows : a functionality difference not complying
with what the majority population refer to as being normal.
We choose to use the term 'different' in the understanding that we are all so.
Established in 2001, we began as a network of artists seeking a platform from
where we could work and advance our business skills, to allow us to expand on
our creative thoughts and make a living from our pursuits. In 2004, we were awarded the financial support to take our concept forward.
We offer an alternative education programme, whilst balancing our varied income
streams against providing our community-based users with relevant services', to
help them achieve their individual goals.
Our initial aim 'to raise the standards of communication and education through
art' is still our focus today and is the driving force behind every endeavour. We have been externally funded for three years and aim to become fully or part-financially
independent after this time.
